In case you didn't hear, Lindsay Lohan was FINALLY released from formal probation last week, afer what the judge called "the longest DUI case in history" (this all stemmed from a DUI in 2007!) and now she just has to stay on the straight and narrow, without any brushes with the law, for the next 2.5 years.
Shortly after her probation hearing, a work permit was quickly issued for Lindsay to begin work on her new Lifetime movie - a biopic of Elizabeth Taylor.
I'm not going to even get into how queasy this makes me. Instead, I'm going to focus on all of the fun things that Lindsay could do in her down time whilst in Toronto, rather than getting into trouble and ending up back in a courtroom!
10. Check out a Jays' Game Men, tight pants, balls... need I say more?
9. Casa Loma She'll probably need a very understanding tour guide, though, when she keeps asking where the Prince is.
8. Check Out the CBC Museum Check out all that the history of Canadian television has to offer. Also, if you hang around long enough, Strombo might interview you, and maybe they'll even offer you your own show!
7. Visit Queen's Park She spent time working at the LA County Morgue. She should feel right at home.
6. Hit the Beach at the Toronto Islands Lindsay's not fond of keeping her clothes on, and neither are most of the other people at Hanlan's Point. It's a match made in heaven!
5. Visit MuchMusic They both used to play music, so it should be a natural fit!
4. Take in the ROM The Royal Ontario Museum has some of the greatest collections in the world. Plus, the mummies there are probably considerably more maternal than Dina Lohan.
3. Go to the top of the CN Tower After all, what better way to see our fine city? She could even try the Edge Walk. Of course, she'd have to pass a sobriety test before going out to see the view, but that's nothing new for LiLo anyway.
2. Shopping in Yorkville That man following you, Ms. Lohan? Oh, that's just Vincent. He's just there to ensure you find everything you need (and pay for it on the way out...)
1. Go to The Courthouse Because if she's looking for a place that she can relax, why not go someplace familiar?

Ben Reproduces! Twice!
Okay, so the whole "30 Days of Ben Mulroney" thing was sort of tongue-in-cheek, BUT, since I may now have dedicated Ben fans watching this blog for all things Ben, I thought I should mention that Ben and his wife, Jessica, welcomed twin boys Brian Gerald Alexander and John Benedict Dimitri this morning. I don't have any other details, but first-time dad Ben is apparently over the moon:
So... yeah... more Mulroney DNA in the world.... yeah... and two boys... that's a lot of future hair products...
"Both boys are healthy and beautiful,” said Mulroney. “Jessica is radiant and in great health and sprits. I am the happiest man alive."ETalk Daily is, of course, milking this for all its worth (I was about to make a breast milk joke here, but I'm thinking it might be crossing a line...) so they'll have all of the details tonight, and also "fatherly advice" from celebrity dads such as Tom Cruise and Peter Facinelli.

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 27!
Only THREE more days, Gentle Readers! Whatever will we do without a little Ben in our lives each day?
Today's Fun Fact: Ben was named one of Canada's Best Dressed by Hello! Canada magazine in 2009.
Hmm... I guess they haven't seen my usual daily attire...

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 26!
Ben is taller than Tom Cruise! Wait... isn't everyone? I think my not quite 1-year-old might be... I'm just saying...
According to the National Post, there was a Twitter account @ETalkBen. Sadly, that account is no more. It contained references to "Uncle Karlheinz", lunch bills and personal hygiene. It was a fake account, but apparently even got George Stroumboulopoulos, a friend of Ben's, into the act. Take a look at the article, it's quite entertaining, actually. I think my friend Sam would get quite a kick out of it.

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 22!
Everyone is thrilled to have their picture taken with Ben, right?
In a profile of Ben done by Duke University's Alumni magazine, Ben professed to be considering a reality show based around his famous parents.
"Everyone has a reality show they want to do," he says. "Hey, I figure if Paris Hilton and her mother can both have reality shows, no idea is too stupid."

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 21!
Ben is apparently quite the connoisseur of Montreal crap food. In fact, the Canadian Idol website has an entire article about how much Montreal crap food Ben is going to consume while they are holding auditions there. Two different places for ribs, smoked meat, hot dogs... oy...
You can read Ben's suggestions for the Montreal food experience here.

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 20!
Ah Ben, the kooky things you do. My good friend Sam (www.popcultureaddict.com) who inspired this series, commented thusly on today's photo:
"Think those guys are fighting over which one gets to clock Ben?"
I don't know, Sam. I don't know if we'll ever know...
Today's Fun Fact: Ben made his big screen debut in Fantastic Four as an entertainment reporter. Obviously trying to stretch his acting muscles!

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 19!
Is there any Canadian personality more maligned than Benedict Mulroney? I think perhaps, of late, only Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. So here's a picture of Ben interviewing Chad Kroeger of Nickelback!
Canadian Idol did their own version of Idol Gives Back one year, and Ben and one of the judges, Farley Flex, went to Malawi. Ben is also a National Ambassador for UNICEF Canada. Here's the video clip of Ben and Farley's trip:

Inspiration: Anyone with the last name Mulroney
Can't live without: His PVR

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 15!
I do believe that this was Mariah Carey's first live performance on Canadian television (probably her only one?)
Today's Fun Fact: Ben's Facebook fan page can be found here. He currently has 188 fans and has never actually written on the page, from what I can tell. But hey - it's there!

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 12!
2003, he would have been 27, and on the cover of a national magazine. Not bad...
A quote from this article will be today's Fun Fact: Things Ben Mulroney has learned about life in a fishbowl: always be polite; never chew gum in public; people may say they hate you because of your clothes, haircut, family name or the GST, but they probably had no intention of liking you in the first place; if everyone is watching, you might as well take advantage of it.
You can read more of the article here, but I will likely be using more of it in the next few days, so you don't have to if you don't want to - I'll give you the best parts, anyway!
Hey - does anyone know how to reach Ben's "people"? Perhaps I could convince him to give me some Fun Facts! A girl can dream...

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 11!
Today I think we'll let our Ben speak for himself, with:
Five Things You Don't Know About 24 Sussex Drive
1. My brother Mark and I lost a near-mint condition 1957 Mickey Mantle baseball card somewhere in the house. If you find it, I want it back.
2. Margaret Trudeau named the sitting room on the second floor “the Freedom Room.” As far as I know, the name is still being used today.
3. There’s a secret safe on the first floor, behind a painting. In eight years, I never saw it opened. I don’t think anyone actually knows the combination.
4. The walls, floors and ceilings are very, very thin. If you are asleep on the second floor, you will hear everything on the third floor.
5. I went back to 24 in 2006 for the first time in years, and the combination lock that leads to the pool had not been changed.

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 10!
Day 10 already? How did THAT happen?
My laptop is dying, so computer time is limited. If it looks like Ben Mulroney is all I care about these days, I apologize. As soon as my baby is fixed, I swear that I will be back full force with other interests!
Today's Fun Fact: In April 2009 Ben began hosting a radio show on the CHUM radio network. I have never heard it, and have no idea when it airs, for those who may be wondering. My sincere apologies!

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 8!
Very late, I know, but it's been one of those days. I hope that no one has been holding their breath, waiting for today's picture and fun fact!
Despite how confused poor Ben may look in this photo, and what some may say, Ben is actually a pretty intelligent guy! Either that, or he's really good at faking his way through advanced degrees! He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Université Laval.

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 7!
And so, here's our Ben with Jacob Hoggard, 3rd place finisher on the 2nd season of Canadian Idol (still the best season by far, in my opinion). Jacob is now the lead singer for a band called Hedley. And so, today's Fun Fact? Jacob Hoggard once gave Ben a "wet willy" on-stage during his days on Idol. I miss Season 2, I really do. I'm not kidding - definitely the best season!

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 6!!!
Fun Fact of the Day: Ben and his wife, Jessica, announced on March 7th that they're expecting twins. Interestingly enough, his sister, Caroline, also has twins. Those Mulroneys - can't stop spreading their genetic material around!

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 5!!!
Today's Fun Fact: Ben married Jessica Brownstein on Thursday, October 30, 2008. Here's a wedding announcement!
Kathy Lee Gifford? Seriously?
Ben Mulroney, the eldest son of former prime minister Brian Mulroney, was married during a private ceremony in Montreal Thursday night.
Mulroney, 32, was wed to Jessica Brownstein, 29, in an evening ceremony at St. Patrick's Basilica.
"Fantastic," Mulroney said as he ushered his bride to a waiting limousine. Brownstein was draped in a white fur cape when she arrived for the ceremony, but was not wearing it after the service.
"We've got to get her in the car," Mulroney said as he led his new wife through a crowd of journalists.
The former prime minister, who attended the service with his wife Mila, said about 75 people attended the wedding. A rabbi blessed the ceremony, while a priest conducted the service, he said.
"It was very moving, very impressive," Brian Mulroney said.
He also said the couple wrote their own vows, which he described as "poignant" and "lovely."
"He's the oldest of three boys and he's been a very good son and we love him dearly," Brian Mulroney said.
"We think that the best decision he's made in his whole life is today, so we're very pleased."
The bride and groom have known each other since childhood, having both grown up in Montreal's tony Westmount neighbourhood.
Mulroney proposed to Brownstein, a Montreal fashion designer, over lunch last year at a Greene Avenue deli, after they had been dating for about six months.
"I feel great. It was my idea," Mulroney said as he walked into the church around 7 p.m.
Earlier Thursday, Montreal Gazette columnist Jennifer Campbell said "reliable insiders" had told her the ceremony would be an intimate and traditional affair for family members, followed by a blowout celebration on the weekend.
Brian Mulroney said he expects about 350 guests to attend a reception Saturday night.
Montreal businessman Paul Desmarais was one of the few society notables who attended Thursday's service.
"I wish for them to be as happy as I have been with my wife for 55 years," Desmarais of Power Corp. said before the ceremony.
The younger Mulroney is host of the reality singing show Canadian Idol, as well as the entertainment program e-Talk Daily.
Mulroney's older sister, Caroline, married stockbroker Andrew Lapham in 2000 in Montreal in a large star-studded wedding that included former U.S. president George Bush, former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher and talk show host Kathy Lee Gifford.
Kathy Lee Gifford? Seriously?

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 4!!!
Bet you think I'm going to get tired of this before the 30 days are up, don't you?
Today's fun fact: Ben Mulroney is one of the hosts of CTV's ETalk Daily, a Canadian Entertainment Tonight -style show (which predates Entertainment Tonight Canada by several years, incidentally).
Here he is interviewing Trish Stratus on the red carpet. Why Trish Stratus, I have no idea, but then again, this isn't the 30 Days of Trish Stratus, now is it?

The 30 Days of Ben Mulroney - Day 3!
Again, I know that today's Fun Fact will be obvious to my Canadian readers, but here it is: from 2003-2008 Ben was our very own version of Ryan Seacrest! He hosted Canadian Idol and traded barbs with Zach Werner instead of Simon Cowell. He even had a wacky sidekick, Jon Dore, for the first three seasons (rather than Brian Dunkleman's one outing on the US version).
Ben is seen here with Season Six's third-place finisher, Drew Wright.
